Sudden and Unexpected Deaths in Infancy and Childhood report launch

In this report launch the NCMD’s Professor Peter Fleming and a panel of experts explore our novel findings regarding sudden, unexpected and unexplained deaths among infants and older children. The session covers the following:

  • All children who died suddenly and unexpectedly between April 2019 and March 2021.
  • Deaths of children by age group (under 1 year and 1-17 years)
  • Sleep environment
  • Modifiable factors
  • Housing
  • Poverty and Deprivation
