An introductory event on NCMD’s public engagement

This online meeting is aimed at charities and others that represent bereaved families as well as those who have an interest in child health and well-being, and offers an opportunity to help steer our public engagement:

Learning from child death: Effective public engagement

Tuesday 2 Feb 2021, 10am-12pm (online)

As the first national database to collect and analyse child death data on national scale, we are aware that our work could have a significant impact on the lives of families going forward. However, we need the help of organisations that represent bereaved families to help ensure that we engage and involve them in appropriate and meaningful ways.

This meeting is intended as an introduction to us and our work, and will cover:

  • Presentations about NCMD’s life-saving work and the importance of child death review data in reducing child deaths
  • An update on our current partnerships with charities
  • A discussion around our public involvement, with an opportunity to help shape this work.

How to register: This is a free online event. For more information and to find out how to register, email NCMD.
