Webinar: Thursday 8th May 1000–1115

In this NCMD webinar, Professor Elijah Behr from St George’s Hospital, London, and Dr. Joanna Garstang, Consultant Community Paediatrician and Designated Doctor for Child Death in Birmingham and Solihull, will discuss the newly commissioned pathway for investigating deaths that may be due to Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC), and how this relates to the Joint Agency Response and Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood (SUDIC) investigations.  Many sudden, unexpected child deaths may be due to cardiac disease, and the new pathway offers families rapid access to specialist assessment.

The session is aimed at ICC attendees and Child Death Review Professionals, particularly CDR specialist nurses, Designated Doctors for Child Death and SUDIC paediatricians.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session, and you can also submit questions in advance by emailing NCMD-programme@bristol.ac.uk.

The session is free and open to all with free registration in advance. Please note that the session will be recorded and shared by NCMD to support future learning.
