Child Mortality and Social Deprivation report online dissemination event
Tuesday 18 May 2021, 1-1.30pm (rescheduled from 20 April)

Hosted by NCMD’s Programme Lead, Professor Karen Luyt, this event will highlight the key messages from our Child Mortality and Social Deprivation report, which explores the association between the risk of child death and deprivation.

This report is based on data for children who died in England between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020, and contains more detailed analysis of child deaths that were reviewed by a Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) in that period.

The event is free to attend, and is open to everyone. It is aimed at Child Death Review (CDR) and child health professionals as well as the wider health and social care sector including service planners and commissioners, public health service providers, policy makers and practitioners. It will also be of interest to anyone working with families affected by deprivation.
