Webinar: Monday 20 November, 1015–1115
Online, with free registration in advance
Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) has now been approved for any infant or child whose death is unexplained after post-mortem; this includes deaths classified as SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood), SUDI and unascertained deaths.
This webinar will tell you all about WGS technology, how the process will work for these children and families, how to obtain testing and where to get help.
The seminar is aimed at Designated Doctors for Child Death, CDR/SUDIC specialist nurses, Joint Agency Response professionals, genetic counsellors, CDOP co-ordinators, key workers, bereavement support staff and anyone working with families after a sudden child death.
The session is free and open to all with free registration in advance.
Please note that the session will be recorded and shared by NCMD to support future learning.
