Training day: Wednesday 15 March, 0900–1700

London, with registration in advance

The child death review process is vital to maintaining and improving child health in England at a national level. However, it can also be complex and every case is unique. Child death review professionals therefore face a range of challenges on a daily basis.

This new training course, offered by the National Child Mortality Database (NCMD), is designed to provide child death review professionals with the advice and support they need. It will include practical advice and exercises to unpack how to review the death of a child at a CDOP meeting or a child death review meeting; guidance on how to identify and record issues relating to poverty and deprivation; support in understanding and applying the NCMD model of modifiability; insights into the data collated by the NCMD and how it is used to improve child health; and opportunities to ask questions and network with colleagues.

The training day will take place on Wednesday 15 March at UCL Partners’ offices in London. Places will cost £27.80 per person, and you can register your interest by joining the waitlist on Eventbrite.
