Ben Wong

Ben is an honorary clinical researcher from East London NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in child and adolescent self-harm and suicide. In collaboration with the NCMD team, he is currently conducting a case-control study on the national data of completed suicides.

His other research focus areas include emergency psychiatry, acute mental health team operation, and continuity of care. Ben coordinates one of the largest international research networks in child self-harm, composed of 88 emergency units from 38 countries. In the past, he has worked on a national randomised controlled trial (IVY), as well as practised low-intensity CBT in CAMHS.
