RCPCH Conference 2021: Challenges, opportunities and solutions for child health in the COVID-19 era

NCMD plenary session: Tuesday 15 June 2021; 1.50-3.20pm

We are delighted that NCMD’s Programme Lead, Professor Karen Luyt, will be presenting at this year’s RCPCH conference on Tuesday 15 June, as part of a plenary session titled ‘Is Covid-19 a disaster or an opportunity for our aspiration to create a fair society for future generations?’. Professor Luyt will discuss our report on Child Mortality and Social Deprivation, and will join Professor Sir Michael Marmot, Director of UCL Institute of Health Equity, who published both the Marmot Review in 2010 and the follow-up report Health Equity in England: The Marmot Review 10 Years On in 2020, and is now known for the Build Back Fairer campaign.

The conference is online this year and runs from 15 to 17 June, and features “inspirational keynote talks, specialty sessions and the virtual poster gallery that will showcase the latest research and innovations in child health”.

How to attend: Further details will be made available in due course but, in the meantime, details of the conference – and how to register – can be found on the RCPCH website.
